About Me

Hi, my name is Rachel.  My Man and I have been married for 20 years, we have 5 amazing gifts from God that I am blessed to be able to stay home with and we homeschool them all – the age range is 4 to 17. I am a woman seeking after God, learning to love Him better and thereby learning to love others better.  I strive to show God in all my relationships as a wife, mother, daughter, sister, cousin, friend, and even passerby.

Rooms of Knowledge, why THAT name?

I have always LOVED to write.  Poetry. Stories. Notes. Thoughts.  Writing is part of who I am.  Am I a grammar nut?  Nope, but I do try to do my best.  Writing, to me, is a way to share my heart with others.  Sometimes, oftentimes, I think my words come across better stated in the written word (although the written word loses it meaning some without the voice of the one offering it). Knowledge can be gained and imparted using the written word.

I have always LOVED secret rooms.  I have always LOVED reading & writing.  I have ALWAYS wanted to read & write in a secret room.  LOL  I have ALWAYS wanted a secret room.  While my home may not have a secret room, I believe my heart and mind do.  I believe that all hearts and minds have secret rooms.  Rooms where knowledge is stored.  Rooms where fear is tucked.  Rooms where joy is bursting.  Rooms where we slink away and hide from the world.  Rooms where we invite others in to see what we want them to see.

I also believe that we all have knowledge.  Knowledge of fears.  Knowledge of joys.  Knowledge of hurts.  Knowledge of friendships.  Knowledge that needs shared with others.

I’ve also always wanted a Room where I could invite my friends to come and sit and have a cup of tea and relax and share our knowledge that we may grow in Christ’s love together.  While the physical room does not look how I have always pictured it, I have learned that it is the Rooms of the heart that matter with friends.

This blog is a Room where we can gather and share our knowledge of serving our families with love in the many roles we as women serve.   Knowledge of being a wife.  Knowledge of being a mom (whether to an only or to many).  Knowledge of being a sister, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, etc. Knowledge of being a friend.  Knowledge of being a woman after God’s heart.

Please enter these Rooms of Knowledge knowing you are loved and welcome.
