Five Minute Friday – PLAN

Posted by on March 13, 2015

This weeks Five Minute Friday prompt is:

PLAN

START

I LOVE to PLAN!  It’s the follow through that I tend to have trouble with.  Or the stick-with-it-ability 😉  It depends on the project and the length of said project and how quickly I see success (that lasts!).  I have a new plan to help me with my weight loss and I am reading some books on how to declutter better and how to decorate my home in a way that brings comfort and joy to all who live here and all who enter.  God has a plan for my life and I know that and I know that I have to apply myself in order to learn more about Him and more about His Plan for me.  I am learning that sometimes the plan is just for my sanity even if it is barely followed I know that I have thought through different versions of the plan. But I need to remember that God has SEEN the way it all plays out so I need to trust His plan and his timing.  Off to work on today’s plan of prayer & action.

STOP

I love that God knows what’s ahead for us. And like you, I forget to trust in His plans sometimes. Thanks for sharing today. I am your FMF neighbor! 🙂 Blessings, Carrie

Good for you! Clutter used to be a huge issue for me, too. I think following a step by step plan is what helped me get it under control at last.

What step by step plan did you use? Part of my problem is getting the kids to let go of their stuff 😉 Some of them have no problem getting rid of anything and others hold on to everything. LOL We will get this figured out.

        Hi Rachel!
I used Flylady (flylady.net) for decluttering. She divides the house up into zones so that you can work gradually and get things done rather than be overwhelmed by the mountains of stuff. Her system also includes “special missions” for holiday prep or decluttering kids’ rooms.

I’ll admit that I started with her system because it was free, but I stick with it because it’s really worked for me.
